Database software:

  • SAP SQL Anywhere 12
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Datacenter Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Standard Edition
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition

Collation:

  • Case-insensitive collation

Time zone:

  • Configured for the same date, time, and time zone as the SAP Afaria Server components it supports

Double byte environment:

  • UTF-8 character set for SAP SQL Anywhere 12
Browser Requirements

Browser

  • SAP Afaria Administration console:
    • Google Chrome 35.0    
    • Internet Explorer 9, 10, and 11    
    • Mozilla Firefox 30.0
    • Safari 5.15 for Mac or iPad
  • Self-service portal:
    • Google Chrome 35.0
    • Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, and 11

  • Additional requirements:
    • In an active directory environment, the domain controller œ"log on to" list must be either unrestricted or include the SAP Afaria Administrator server and computers that access the SAP Afaria Administration console.
    • Enhanced security configuration setting in Internet Explorer 9 is not supported.
    • Compatibility view in Internet Explorer is not supported.
    • Due to session state sharing restrictions between tabs, support is limited to using a single tab.
