Quick Start Guide
Hello! Welcome to the new SAP Community. Please use this guide to get started!
Register and create your profile (new users)
To get started click on the avatar in the upper right hand corner. For further details and instructions, visit the Registration and Profile Maintenance page. If you are already a Community member, click on the avatar (profile picture) to get started.
Write a blog post
You will need an account to be able to write blog posts. Find out how to create a new account and log on.
Once you have your account set up and earned the Contributor level you will be able to start writing a blog post by clicking on your avatar in the header area and selecting "Write a Blog Post" by selecting that option from the drop-down menu of your profile (see below).
SAP Blogs introduces a 3-tier community blogger system based on experience and reputation elements. The purpose of this concept is to make our community healthier, more educated and protected.
- Subscriber: Entry level.
- Contributor: Learner level.
- Author: An experienced Community member.

Ask a question
Before you jump into asking a question on SAP Answers, ask yourself first “Could it be that someone already had the same problem?” If the answer is “Yes” (and most likely it is), then check out the wide range of tools that SAP provides to find your answer. Please visit the Questions and Answers page for more information. Didn’t find the answer? Post a question by using the drop down menu on your profile (see below).
Finding and following tags
SAP Community content -- blog posts and questions -- requires a primary tag, which represents the content's main subject. You can search for all content with a primary tag, and you can also choose to follow a tag so you can have easier access to all content related to a specific topic. In some cases, these tags may even have associated community topic pages that further consolidate pertinent information.
