Pfungwa Serima, has been promoted to the role Chairman of SAP Africa in July 2015.08.17. Serima’s new role will see him take on increased responsibility for the strategic direction of SAP’s business in Africa. He will focus on a number of initiatives critical to SAP Africa’s success, including the direction of SAP head office’s investment plan in Africa, the development of SAP’s focus industries across the continent and the ensuring of scalableand sustainable growth in emerging markets in Africa. Strengthening relationships with African governments and international financial institutions investing in Africa will also form part of Serima’s new portfolio.
Brett Parker has been appointed as Managing Director for SAP Africa in July 2015. As the new Managing Director of SAP Africa, Parker takes on operational responsibility for the company in Africa, with particular emphasis placed on delivering innovation to SAP customers and partners. All regional Managing Directors of the SAP Africa team, as well as the other members the Africa Leadership Team, will report to Parker. Brett is also a member of the SAP Africa Board of Directors.

Deena is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years of experience in the ICT sector. As the CFO, Deena focuses on supporting and guiding the SAP leadership in the Africa market. He has both a practical and proactive approach to business which makes him a dynamic and dependable leader.
The role of Chief Operating Officer was a natural progression for Mehmood to assume the leadership of strategic operations that will continue to build the SAP brand as the top ICT provider across the African continent. As the Chief Operating Officer Mehmood communicates a clear vision of the future, motivates through inspiration, mobilises teams and actively establishes relationships characterised by mutual respect and trust.
